Standing in the shadows, reaching out—
yet still cannot touch the light.

Ever since Donna was little, her parents divorced.
Her father’s betrayal of the family left her unable to trust the others,
making her journey toward marriage twisted and uneven.
The building left by her grandmother now faces demolition.
Out of guilt toward his own mother, her father stubbornly clings to preserving the family property—
driving the wedge between him and Donna even deeper.
